Vinny was interested in guitars from a very early age. Ever since
he heard his grandfather play tunes like "I'm Going Back to
Jersey" and "When I Get You Alone Tonight" on an old Kay guitar,
he's had it bad. His pride and joy is a Martin D-35 acoustic that
his father gave him for his sixteenth birthday (thanks again,
Dad). Vinny has played in folk groups for many years where
he has learned to appreciate all kinds of guitar music. He
continues to play guitar and bass at folk mass at St. Joseph's
Church in Bogota. His rockin' side came out early in College where
he played concerts, folk fests and was a member of Sly John and
the Sick Puppies.
After moving to
Bogota he met the boys in the band. He's always been lucky to be
around talented musicians. From DR B and the Interns to early
influences from John Cassone, Paul Cassone, Andrew Macchio, Gene
Eames, Kevin Makuta, Grace Scotto and Rick Martin.
Vinny loves
guitar gear and currently alternates between a Fender Stratocaster
and a Gibson Les Paul Jr Special. He's currently restoring a '68
Fender Telecaster and plays gigs through a '73 silverfaced Fender
Deluxe Reverb.
Dr. B & the Interns are a local NJ band playing bars,
